Why I Travel.

Travelling is liberating

It opens my eyes to different cultures & people

It challenges me

It enriches and expands my existence on this world

Exploring the outside world often leads to exploring the inside

New challenges bring growth

The fellow travelers I meet broaden my understanding of the world

One step can lead to a thousand

New connections and inspiration for the next adventure

Travelling will not make you happy or complete your life

But it can expand, enrich, and enlighten your life if you allow it too

(Backstory, I have traveled and lived in Hawaii; backpacked New Zealand, Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand. My next travels will be to Italy, Croatia, and Greece.)

Relax, Nothing is Under Control

The sun will rise
And set
Relax, nothing is under control

Days will go by
People will get sick
Loved ones will die

Jobs will be lost
People will cheat, lie, and push your buttons
Relax, nothing is under control

Our mission is to rise above and stay positive even in the darkest of times
Knowing that everything & everyone is impermanent

We can find joy by letting go of control of others and situations
All we can control is our reaction and attitude to the chaos around us
Resilience is built by not avoiding hard situations but by embracing them with love, compassion, and acceptance.

True freedom is found when we let go of whatever holds us back
This includes unneeded stuff.

True freedom is letting go of trying to control everything and everyone

The only thing you have control over is your reaction to the world around you

Let others live their life, grow, and learn from their mistakes in their own time

It’s not your responsibility to heal or save others

Human Evolution & Saving Our Planet

From single cell
To hairless apes
Humans left their jungle home
For the great unknown
Soon they ate what they could to survive
Then hunter-gathers began to settle
Building thriving empires on maize, rice, wheat, & rye
The next evolution of the human species
No more need to slaughter
No more need to abuse & exploit their fellow earthlings
In 2021, humanity is still stuck in the past
Stuck in greed, tradition, & fear
Some though are waking up to the suffering of the world & it’s beautiful creatures
Choosing compassion at every meal
If humanity takes the next step towards a vegan world
The world will heal
The animals will live
Pandemics will end

Or what you were taught by others

 

Life is too short to live it blindly

Not questioning what we have been told

Question everything, including yourself

Is this what I truly believe from logical evidence?

By love?

Or is it driven by greed, hatred, or fear?

Lost.

 

I’m lost in the negativity

Drowning in the sea of news

Death counts on my mind

Economy crashing

Endless news of this pandemic

 

Fear & anxiety

Run through my mind

The 2nd pandemic

Of our times

 

I know this will all pass

Impermanence ends all

All we can do is have faith

Faith that things will work out

The way they are suppose too

Enjoy the views

The sounds

Bask in awe of life

As you turn slowly

Aging

Growing

Ever-changing

 

Embrace your childlike curiosity

As you notice all the details of nature

Outside & within you

Beauty found everywhere

 

 

Love unconditionally

For everything & everyone is impermanent

Enjoy each day alive

Knowing it won’t last forever

 

The ride will end for you & I

Allowing others to enjoy the ride

Without death, there is no life

Embrace both

 

Greed.

How will we break from the spell of money and power?

Caring more about the dollar then human life

Living as if our bank account is the only thing that matters

Sacrificing our grandparents for the dow jones

Even in crisis, the rich get richer

Leaving crumbs for the rest

I’m not a revolutionary

But a man who questions everything

Especially my own life

I will look within

Within my greed

Doing my best

To choose generosity over greed

And the love of life over the fear of losing money

 

Drifter.

A drifter

A vagabond

Never commiting long term to a job

A relationship or location

This is how I choose to live my one life for now

For the open road is welcoming

New people

New experiences

The journey along the windy path into the unknown

Adventures with new friends

New places to explore

Discovering who you are through the adversity of uncertainty

The uncomfortable decisions you have to make that push you to be better

Never stagnating in one spot

Not decaying & mold from staying still too long

I’ll embrace this journey as a vagabond for now

Not knowing where life will take me
